ABOUT THE PLAY

"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary - the devil - prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

Eight-year-old Jinny Crist has gone missing, igniting a media firestorm and focusing both the police and the nation's attention on a rural community in Northwest Missouri. With the investigation at a standstill, and vital time wasting, this tight knit community has sprung in to action to try and find little Jinny, and leading the search is Candy and Taylor Crist's devoted neighbor Margaret Vance. While Margaret's obsession with the case has made her the public face of the search, her own newly reunited family is far from comfortable in the spot light. With no sign of Jinny and time running out, tensions mount as the police push for answers and deep family secrets are revealed ... making everyone a suspect. North of the River is a taut character driven thriller that takes us to the heart of a mystery that has left a community in chaos and two families on the precipice.
